Welcome to the Blue Lotus Dance website
Blue Lotus Dance is a Cardiff-based performance group made up of dancers studying with teacher Hannah Corr. We have come together out of our love of Middle Eastern Dance, world mythology and a holistic lifestyle.
Formerly Halfouine Dance, we have been performing since 2006 and have shared the beauty of Middle Eastern Dance with a wide array of audiences at venues including - music festivals, theatre shows, bellydance showcases and multicultural events. Our philosophy
We believe that bellydance is the ultimate artistic expression of the beauty of the female body.
It celebrates femininity, empowerment and inclusivity: It doesn’t matter what age, size, or shape you are. You will always be a beautiful, creative expression of life!
Dance can take you on a journey of self-discovery.
Our intention is to share this with the world.

We are also skilled in the use of several bellydance props, such as:

We have a number of members studying Middle Eastern percussion, including zills (finger cymbals), darabuka, frame drum and riq (a type of tambourine).
